Black History Month

During February, the New Jersey Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club visited various community organizations, churches and schools to give 17 presentations on the Legendary Buffalo Soldiers.

Here’s a sampling of our Black History Month Presentations:

Friday, 16 February 2007 (0900 hrs): Joyce Kilmer Middle School, Trenton, NJ. The Mayor of Trenton, Mayor Palmer, and the Chief of Staff of the NJ Department of Corrections, Mr. Charles Ellis was in attendance. Soldiers included TC, Brownskin, Thor, Bemor, Big T, June, and Fancy Rider.

Wednesday, 21 February 2007 (1000 hrs): Black People’s Unity Movement’s History in the Barbershop Program, 4th street in Camden. Location of event.(RC’s Parlor). The History in the Barbershop Program is just that: history taught in the Barbershop. Presentations are done in the Barbershops to honor the role that barbershops have played in the Black Community.

Friday, 23 February 2007 (0900): Charles Sumner School, Camden, NJ. Here are some pictures from the event...


Saturday, 24 February 2007 (1000 1630): Neptune, NJ Black History Month Celebration.
Participants: Brother Wolf, TC, Bemoe, Brownskin, Lifesaver, Nate, Lou, Butter, Cuz, BrownSkin, Tank, Twister, Big 'T', Budda, Thor, Wing King and Dragon.

We received a Proclamation at this event.

Sunday, February 25, Macedonia Baptist Church, Beverly. Presenting were: Brother Wolf, Big T, Bemoe, Thor, Browskin, and Fancy Rider.

Tuesday, 27 February 2007 (1000 1400): New Brunswick Middle School, located at 30 Vandyke Ave., Bldg # 30, New Brunswick, New Jersey. This event was in support of one of our own members, “Jaguar” who teaches at this school. HE REQUESTED THAT WE RIDE OUR BIKES. Participants: TC, Bemoe, Brownskin, Thor, and Wing King.
